Geospatial Engineering & Land Surveying Summer Camp

2026 DATES:
Monday, June 22 - Friday, June 26
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily

Location:
Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi CAMPUS
Ward Island (NRC Building and outdoor field areas)

Ages: Rising 6th through 8th graders

Join us for a week of hands-on exploration in geospatial engineering and land surveying. Campers will use real professional equipment like total stations, GPS receivers, drones, LiDAR scanners, and digital levels to map Ward Island and learn how modern mapping technologies work in the real world. Students will also participate in geocaching activities, create ArcGIS Story Maps, compete in team challenges with prizes, and hear from guest speakers who work in geospatial engineering and land surveying careers.

This camp is designed to build spatial thinking, problem-solving skills, and early awareness of high-tech STEM career pathways in a fun and supportive environment.

Cost: A $100 fee will be charged at the time of registration to hold your camper’s spot. This fee will be fully refunded upon your camper’s successful completion of the camp. Refunds cannot be issued. No-shows or failure to complete the camp in its entirety will result in the forfeiture of this fee.
