CBI Analytics & Technology Solutions (cats)
CBI Analytics & Technology Solutions (CATS) drives innovation and efficiency through the development and implementation of software, expertly managed infrastructure, and dedicated end-user support for CBI affiliated partners.
Coastal Dynamics Lab (CDL)
The Coastal Dynamic Lab (CDL) conducts coastal research and monitoring using artificial intelligence, precise measurements, and innovative modeling techniques to develop tools, visualizations, and apps, while closely collaborating with stakeholders to provide decision support and guidance reporting along the Texas coast.
geoCOMMUNITYLAB (GCL)
The GeoCommunityLab advances geospatial data science for community impact, collaborating with communities to address unique challenges and seize opportunities that foster positive societal change.
Measurement Analytics (MANTIS) LAB
The Measurement Analytics (MANTIS) Lab explores the merging of geomatics, remote sensing, and geospatial computing to aid scientific and engineering decision-making through improved measurement and analytics of natural and built systems.
National Spill Control School (NSCS)
The National Spill Control School (NSCS) is nationally recognized for its oil spill research and offers specialized hands-on OSHA mandated training for professionals and workers in the Oil Spill, HAZMAT, and Emergency Management industries as well as others in exploration, production, and transportation who deal with spill prevention, planning, and response.
Research operations
Research Operations performs the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of various environmental data collection stations along the Gulf Coast, as well as collects and disseminates near real-time data to decision makers and the public.
SPATIAL {Query} LAB
The Spatial {Query} Lab endeavors to make spatial technology, education, and information accessible to everyone through a diversity of projects and initiatives. The lab is also home to the Geospatial Service Center (GSC), which provides SAR and InSAR image processing, surveying and GIS services, and more.
Texas Spatial Reference Center (TSRC)
The Texas Spatial Reference Center (TSRC) is housed at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, within the Conrad Blucher Institute for Surveying and Science.
TSRC was established through Texas legislation in 2007 under the Texas Education Code, and was given the authority to define official Texas Coordinate Systems in 2021 under the Texas Natural Resources Code. TSRC is the state's leader in Texas' transition to the modernized National Spatial Reference System, being implemented nationally by the National Geodetic Survey (NGS).
