CBI Raises $1,000 and Collects Hundreds of Essential Items to Support Izzy’s Food Pantry

The Conrad Blucher Institute for Surveying and Science raised $1,000 and gathered nearly 400 essential items through two internal holiday charitable drives benefitting Izzy’s Food Pantry, a campus resource that supports Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi students experiencing food insecurity.

As part of the effort, CBI hosted its annual “Naughty or Nice List” fundraiser, where participants contributed items or funds to place colleagues on either list. While lighthearted, the activity helped boost engagement, raise awareness for Izzy’s Food Pantry, and foster a spirit of collaboration across the institute.

Complementing the fundraiser, CBI also organized its “Give a Roll, Make It Snow” donation drive, which invited participants to help build a Snow Fort of Support by donating toilet paper and other essential paper goods that are often overlooked but vital to students in need.

The donated funds and supplies will help ensure that Islander students facing hardship have reliable access to the food and essential goods they need, minimizing challenges that could impact their academic progress and wellbeing.
