Dr. Daniel Prouty is the Southern Plains (TX, OK) Region Geodetic Advisor for NOAA’s National Geodetic Survey (NGS).  He assists the geospatial community throughout Texas, and Oklahoma with proper use of the National Spatial Reference System.   Prouty has been with NGS since 2009, and he holds a MS in Computer Science from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and an PhD in Ocean Engineering from the University of Southampton UK . He previously worked for the Conrad Blucher Institute for Surveying and Science (TAMUU-CC) and he lives in Rockport, TX.
